Rattan and Crane: A Fusion of Oriental Culture and Modern Home Space

The design strategy of the Rattan and Crane series includes an extensive range of custom-made cabinets, wall panels, wooden doors, floors, and smart devices. This comprehensive coverage ensures that the design solutions incorporate innovative uses of rattan materials and digital pattern printing technology to guarantee authentic oriental visual characteristics. The design also allows for the customization of storage spaces based on the functionality of the living space, ensuring a comfortable living experience for users.

The materials used in the space primarily consist of customized cabinets, wall panels, and floors, crafted using natural veneer material. This is paired with a unique high-environmentally friendly compressed board that enhances the ecological environment while maintaining top-notch physical properties and visual aesthetics. The incorporation of Chinese rattan weaving elements into the design lends a richer visual texture to the overall space, infused with an oriental cultural atmosphere.

The products adopt a customized production method, assembled from modular plates. The flat and small-volume packaging is convenient for disassembly and transportation, reducing resource waste and environmental damage. The height of the product is 2780MM, with the width and depth customized according to the size of the space, and the thickness uniformly 18MM or 25MM.

The design process involved extensive research on traditional Chinese patterns and numerous public surveys. From the wealth of information gathered, representative patterns from the oriental cultural system were extracted and developed into commercial panels suitable for mass production. The integration of rattan elements with customized systems posed a significant challenge in the project's development, requiring considerable time to combine various home elements such as space partitions, cabinet door panels, and furniture.

The Rattan and Crane series offers a complete home design concept inspired by oriental culture. Through blending classic oriental elements with modern home space, it promises users living solutions that incorporate unique regional characteristics. The series includes custom cabinets, wall panels, wooden doors, floors, smart devices, and other elements, catering to a wide range of home design needs. The innovative use of rattan materials and digital pattern printing technology guarantees the preservation of oriental visual features throughout the design scheme.

The Rattan and Crane design was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2023.
